The National recruitment agency (NRA) conduct the Common eligibility test (CET) for class B and C and other non gazetted (means do not have personal authority to issue an official stamp on behalf of government) government jobs. NRA is a multiagency body purposed by Narender modi government and set up by Union cabinet. Soon after the approval of NRA, the PM modi tweeted ” The NRA will prove to be a boon for crores of youngsters through CET it will eliminate multiple tests and save precious time as well as resources. How NRA CET is beneficial?
The test helps government aspirants seeking jobs in government sector.
The preliminary test will be conducted in three levels – Graduates, 12th and 10th pass out.
The test score is used to select candidates for higher level examination by different organization.
CET replace the separate tests for bank, SSC, PSU and it will be a one common preliminary test for all these jobs. And then 2nd and 3rd tier will be conducted by different organization.
Test will be conducted twice a year and th test score will be valid for 3 years.
Test scores hold a great value and it will be used by state, central government, public sector undertaking (PSUs) and private organization to select serious and deserving students.
Currently, candidates have to pay fee for separate examination and they have to travel for different tests in different locations , Now The CET will reduce the financial and travelling burden for Candidates.
There will be a centre for test ik every district and in flexible location where women can go safely.
NRA will send score card of candidates to various recruiting agencies to continue the process. Therefore it reduce the lenghty procedure of recruitment cycle.
CET would be available in 12 different languages, presently most examination are conducted in only English and hindi language.
Government tries to simplify the exam process for 2.5 crore students.
This test overall save energy and time of both candidates and agencies.
