The Union Public Service Commission declared the results of the Civil Service Examination Interview Round on Tuesday. As per reports, this year a total of 1016 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Further, the candidature of 355 candidates has been kept provisional, according to the official notice of the commission. The educational background of Ruhani is quite impressive. Ruhani completed her schooling from the private school in Gurgaon and later she went on to pursue a Bachelor’s in Economics from Delhi University’s St. Stephen’s College. Later, in 2019 she pursued her Master’s in Economics from IGNOU. Ms. Ruhani was already an IPS officer, but her dream was to become an IAS officer. Despite several attempts, she couldn’t clear the exam to become an IAS with just a few marks. Yet, Ruhani did not give up and continued with her efforts to achieve the IAS position.
The family member of Ruhani is originally from Jalandhar Punjab. Her parents are teachers in the government sector and her younger brother works with a private company. In an interrogation with the media her father said: “UPSC is our country’s toughest examination and we are thankful to god that despite such tough competition, our daughter has cleared it.” After clearing the Indian Economic Service exam Ruhani worked as an Assistant Director at NITI Ayog for three years. Later she joined the Indian Police Service.
